deletecache

applies to MistServer 3.13 and newer

deletecache

Sending an deletecache API call will remove any stream data and HLS segments associated with the stream name.

Sending a deletecache for a single stream:

{"deletecache":"STREAMNAME"}

Sending an deletecache for multiple streams:

{"deletecache":["STREAMNAME1","STREAMNAME2"]}'

Inspecting Extended file Attributes (xattr)

You might need to inspect which stream name is associated with which UUID within the cache. To do so please inspect the extended file attributes.

Most Linux distributions can do this through:

getfattr -d /path/to/caching/directory/cachedfile

Or using the following on the entire cached directory:

find . | xargs getfattr -d
tip

Note that if multiple streams use the same source file they share a cache under one stream name. That would be the one to delete should you want to get rid of the cache.
